The Ndoki Youth Forum (NYF) has dismissed claims that the Ndoki people and their territory are of Ijaw origin, calling them false and misleading.
In a press statement, the Igbo group warned against attempts to distort Ndoki history, stating that the Ndoki people are, and have always been, Igbo. The group emphasized that the presence of non-indigenes does not alter their identity.
“We are a peaceful and hospitable people, but our heritage as Igbo is non-negotiable,” said Comrade Chukwudi Nna Nwambala, NYF President.
The forum urged those spreading the false narrative to desist immediately, vowing to resist any attempts to misrepresent their identity for political or other gains.
