Listen, distance doesn't kill a relationship but less conversation and late replies does.
If you're not ready to sacrifice your time, data/airtime etc. don't embark on it.
HOW TO KEEP A LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP
1. Communication:
This is one of the major thing that will keep you guys going.
Make calls, Voice note, Voice call, video calls, WhatsApp chats etc on a daily basis to keep in touch.
2. Trust:
One wrecker of long distance relationship is trust issues.
Once you start thinking or believing that your partner is cheating on you over there...then the end is near.
If you want the relationship to work and last, you must intentionally trust your partner. Avoid insecurities, jealousy and imaginary distractions.
3. Self-control And Faithfulness:
Long distance relationship are for disciplined people with self control.
You must be able to hold yourself and remain loyal to your partner who's away. Because once you start cheating, you'll start falling out of love.
4. The Relationship Must Be Defined:
I mean the relationship should be defined and with directions.
A long distance relationship can only stand the test of time if it's deeply grounded, defined with serious plans ahead to decide the future of the relationship.
A casual long distance relationship will not last long.
5. Ensure The Person Is Really Dating You:
And how do you know? You know when the person you're dating is reciprocating the energy and also putting effort to see the relationship work out and keep going.
Once the relationship is one-sided, only one person is putting effort to make it work... it's gone. Withdraw or keep dating yourself.
Dear Singles, before you go into any long distance relationship, do the aforementioned.
It requires a little work from you and your partner.
Distance doesn't kill a relationship but less conversation and late replies does.
