YAOUNDÉ, Cameroon — Yeri Benz, a Cameroonian reality TV personality, has died after a long illness. He was 25 years old.

Yeri Benz, whose real name was Fonyuy Divine, died in hospital on April 10, 2026. A close friend confirmed his death to Gazette Africa, stating that the artist had been ill for some time, without providing further medical details.

This rising star gained widespread recognition during the last season of Biggie 237, where he was among the 12 finalists. This participation significantly increased his fame and allowed him to build a loyal fan base.

Outside of reality TV, Yeri Benz was actively developing a career as a content creator and music artist.  He was particularly popular on TikTok, where his dynamic personality and creative approach attracted an ever-growing audience.
