A soldier was arrested on Wednesday by Japanese police after he intentionally opened fire and killed two instructors in Central Japan.
A third instructor was also injured in the incident that occurred at a military firing range in the Gifu City.
Police said the soldier who went bizarre, is 18-year-old.
According to a statement by the Japanese police, the deceased instructors died at hospital where they were admitted after the shooting occurred.
The shooter who joined Ground Self Defense Force (GSDF) in April 2023, is currently detained in police custody.
In Libya, at least 78 migrants drowned early Wednesday after their boat capsized.
More people are still feared missing in the Libya-origin boat which was bound for Italy. “Rescue efforts is underway,” said Authorities on Wednesday.
