– Washington, D.C.
President Donald Trump unveiled the official design of a limited-edition commemorative passport on June 26, 2026, to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States. The passport features Trump’s portrait superimposed on the text of the Declaration of Independence, his signature in gold lettering, and patriotic motifs from the American flag.
This release marks the first time a living president has appeared on an official U.S. passport. The commemorative edition will be available at no additional cost to applicants, though only a limited number will be produced.
Distribution is scheduled to begin around July 6, 2026, and will be available exclusively through in-person applications at the Washington Passport Agency on a first-come, first-served basis. Standard passports will continue to be issued at all other agencies and through regular processing.
The special passport is part of the official America250 initiative, which celebrates the nation's 250th anniversary. It meets all international security standards and, at the same time, becomes a historical collector's item linked to the bicentennial celebrations.
